Fly a kite with a view over the city
Giant butterflies, flying penguins and colorful paragliders - the sky above the city will be colorful on November 3rd. The "Greifswald Kite Festival" will take place for the 4th time.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors of all ages can fly their kites on the landfill hill on Ladebower Chaussee.
A professional pilot will also be on hand to skillfully fly a giant show kite over the event site. There will also be a bouncy castle and a face painting station for the younger guests, as well as a selection of food and drinks for refreshments in between. If you don't have your own kite yet, you can spin the wheel of fortune and win a Wolkenstürmer on site or simply paint one at our craft station. A new highlight awaits all young and old puzzle fans this year. A scavenger hunt will take you around the grounds, where you can win a great prize.
From 9:30 a.m. until after the end of the event, a free shuttle bus run by Stadtwerke Greifswald will take visitors from the ZOB to Deponieberg and back. Sufficient bicycle stands will also be installed on the event site. Those who prefer to arrive by car will be directed to the parking lot at Museumshafen/Salinenstraße or to the parking lot of Hanse Yachts AG.
We would like to thank our partners for their support: WVG, ml&s, HAB, Volksbank Vorpommern eG, HanseYachts AG, Stadtwerke Greifswald, MVL, Peter-Warschow Sammelstiftung, WGG and the Hanseatic City of Greifswald.
