A musical tale from Namibia

South African story "Desert December"

by the author Dorian Haarhoff, translated into German

It is the touching and eventful story of a boy from the Namas ethnic group who sets off alone on a journey through the Namib Desert to visit his parents and his newborn sibling at Christmas.

The story, read by Gerda Voss, is framed by projected images and varied music. The musicians are Manu Kolditz - percussion and vocals, Claudia Meures - saxophone and Frieder Rohn - violoncello.
