Works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Benjamin Britten, Arvo Pärt and Ümit Önder, Göktuğ Celik (Kamantsche), Johannes Braun (conductor)
What is attraction? What is affection? Both apply to the concerts of the Kammerphilharmonie Hamburg at the Schönberger Musiksommer. The ensemble, whose members see these performances as a passionately driven artistic activity outside of paid work, always offers attractive programs in fresh interpretations that speak of affection for the music, for each other and for their performance venues and audiences. The program begins with Mozart's Serenata notturna, but have you ever heard the camanche as a solo instrument in a classical concert? Ümit Önder, a member of the orchestra for many years, composed such a solo concerto, a truly virtuoso and demanding piece. The soloist will be Göktuğ Çelik, who already played the world premiere in Ankara in the fall of 2024. The second part of the concert is dedicated to Benjamin Britten. The performance of the Variations on a theme of Frank Bridge will be preceded by Arvo Pärt's Cantus in memoriam Benjamin Britten.
