Each runner completes any number of laps around Schwerin's Pfaffenteich lake during the joint running event. This year, the money raised will be donated to the UNICEF project "Trees for Zambia".
Idea: Each runner completes any number of laps (max. 6 laps for children) around Schwerin's Pfaffenteich lake during the joint running event. Each participant looks for one or more personal sponsors (e.g. relatives, teachers, companies or themselves) in advance or on the day of the event, who donate a certain amount of money (in cash or by bank transfer) for each lap run/walked.
This year, the money raised will be donated to the UNICEF project "Trees for Zambia". Zambia in southern Africa is famous for its waterfalls, but suffers particularly from the threatening consequences of climate change: drought, storms and floods are destroying the livelihoods of many families dependent on agriculture. UNICEF helps to develop new
sources of water and strengthens the commitment of children and young people to protect the climate.
Participation: Participation itself is free. There is no entry fee.
Supporting program: painting and play street, music and dance, cake bazaar, drinks and other surprises.
