18th Rühn Monastery Market

The Klosterverein Rühn e.V., which has been organizing the market on a voluntary basis for eighteen years, wants a monastery market characterized by monastic traditions and modern handicrafts. Each exhibitor makes their own products. "We want to achieve a unique selling point in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Here at Rühn Monastery, we want traceability and authenticity. That's why it's so important to us to have only producers and no traders at this market," says market manager Ralf Helbig, who has been a volunteer in the association for many years.
Parking is particularly easy for guests: "We are once again allowed to use a farmer's large meadow directly behind the monastery park. From there, visitors can reach the event site via a bridge through the monastery park. For people with disabilities, there is again an extra parking lot very close to the monastery," says Ralf Helbig. And the best thing is: parking is free.
As in previous years, families are particularly welcome. For parents, this means: carefree roaming, enjoying and shopping. For children: free admission and then: wonder, adventure and play - in the fairytale tent, with archery and with the jugglers.
Of course, the tenants of the monastery association will also be present again. There are now 13 of them. The spectrum ranges from jewelry design, carpentry, naturopathy, painting to beer brewing, to name but a few.
