Things to know about bats
The 17th Kratzeburg Bat Night offers exciting activities around the bat for the whole family. There are many rumors about the mysterious hunters of the night. Do the bats really fly into the hair of women? How can they move so safely in the dark? Why are they nocturnal at all? Visitors to the 15th Bat Night will learn this and much more.
On Friday, the Müritz National Park Authority in cooperation with the municipality of Kratzeburg invites you to this popular event.
It starts at 17:00 in the "Flatterhus" of the National Park Information in Kratzeburg. There will be a varied program for young and old until late at night. Here you can build your own bat roost and get information on how to make your garden bat-friendly. At the research stand all your questions about bats will be answered. Children can do face painting and handicrafts. Starting at 8:30 p.m., there will be guided excursions followed by moth catching in the nearby bat territory.
The Kratzeburg Volunteer Fire Department will provide refreshments. Bread on sticks can be roasted at the campfire.
