At Easter, the first tender green buds appear again everywhere and many a spring bloomer provides colorful splashes of color on the meadows.

In addition to the blossoming landscape, it becomes especially colorful on Easter weekend. Then the eggs are hidden in the water, the Easter walk leads over piers out to sea, and the crackling of the Easter fire is joined by the sound of the waves. And as a highlight, a colorful potpourri of events awaits you throughout the country.

A leisurely stroll through one of the country's many Easter markets is the ideal way to get in the mood for Easter. Stroll along the stalls to browse for Easter crafts and sample regional delicacies. Many Easter markets offer a colorful supporting program for children to ensure that the little market visitors don't get bored either.

On Easter Saturday, a fiery spectacle ignites along the Baltic Sea and lakes. Then the traditional Easter fires light up the coastlines with music, dancing and grilled food. After a two-year break, the traditional Binz Easter bonfire mile will take place on the beach on Easter Saturday. Hoteliers, restaurateurs and associations of the region take over the sponsorship of the fireplaces where locals and guests can laugh, chat and dream of summer together over mulled wine and stick bread.
