The Welshof is a traditional family business since 1935 with fish restaurant, fish smokehouse and sale.
In the restaurant there are 20 seats and from May to October on the outdoor terrace additional 60 seats. Fish dishes from our own catch and from the in-house smokehouse are offered. Fishing enthusiasts can purchase fishing licenses for the Rittermannshägener, the Small and Large Varchentiner Lake and the Ostpeene on site. There are also fishing boats for rent.

The older, middle part of the castle dates back to the 16th century - the monastery building. A first extension took place in 1709 and after passing to the Imperial Counts v. Plessen around 1750.
