The Sophienhof is a converted settlement farm from the 1930s and has been home to an ostrich farm for many years from 2001. On the extensive grounds (about 5ha) around the house are still the old stables, where now live our sheep, calves and chickens. For your four-legged friends we have set up a dog run where they can romp around. Seating areas in the garden and on the grounds invite you to relax.
The Sophienhof is located outside the village of Neu Heinde on the B108. The vacation apartments are located at the back of the house with a view of the garden, the village and the small Neu Heinder lake and the hills behind it. Here you can rather hear the bleating of our sheep and the crowing of the roosters.
Our old fruit tree population is a feast for the eyes, especially at flowering time, as are the many shrubs along the circular path across the grounds.
A barbecue area is available, and the herbs for barbecuing grow on the balcony in front of each apartment.
Our small café offers indoor and outdoor seating for about 20 people and can be used by groups. On every third Sunday of the month it is open for everyone.
Apartment "View to the lake": A spacious apartment for 2 - 5 people on 2 floors with sloping roofs (therefore larger floor space than indicated) on the upper floor consisting of: spacious living-dining room with kitchenette, bedroom with double bed, small bedroom with two single beds on the upper floor, which is accessible via a space-saving staircase from the living room, a shower room, kitchenette with stove, refrigerator and microwave / oven. In front of the apartment on the parapet (balcony) is space for a small table with chairs. The apartment is equipped with a laminate floor and tile floor in the bathroom. It is a non-smoking apartment.
Apartment "Gartenglück": A cozy apartment for 2 - 4 people with many roof slopes (hence the small footprint) consisting of: Living-dining room, bedroom with double bed, small bedroom with two single beds upstairs, which can be reached via a space-saving staircase from the living room, a shower room, pantry-kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave. In front of the apartment on the parapet outside there is space for a small table with chairs. The apartment is equipped with a laminate floor and tile floor in the bathroom. It is a non-smoking apartment.
