Alte Pommernkate - Rügen farmer's market & farm café

Cafés, Farm Shops, Shop regionally, holidays in the countryside

Qualitative regional products and specialties find place in our farmer's market: food, books, cosmetics and handicrafts. This is followed by a farm café, the Rügen noodle yard and our own fish smokehouse on our farm.

Since 2003 our farmer's market opens its doors almost every day. Year after year, an old sawmill developed into an ever larger and more extensive market for regional products and specialties. Our goal was and is to give the small regional producers a platform to market their quality products. Thus, we have grown to become the largest supplier of regional products in Vorpommern and are pleased to welcome more and more newcomers. Thus we offer a variety of dairy, meat and cereal products, juices, wines, beer and spirits, confectionery, oil and vinegar, spices, baked goods, tea, coffee, cosmetics and much more. In the attic there are handicrafts, paintings and a large book paradise.
Adjacent to the large farmers' market is the farm café. There you will find bread and rolls in the morning, as well as a balanced breakfast buffet daily from 7-11 am. At lunchtime, you can choose and try our own pasta from the lunch dishes, among others. The bakery conjures up homemade cakes and pies only with natural ingredients for you. In the Rügener Nudel-Werft you can watch how the delicious pasta is produced and choose from an assortment of over 60 types of pasta for the next lunch at home. The fish smokehouse offers refreshments in the form of freshly smoked fish from its own smokehouses - and of course the fish roll is not missing on the island. Seasonally, the farm grill is added to the menu, especially for our younger guests.
We look forward to each and every visitor at the Alte Pommernkate!
