Our small ReitTherapiehof STOPPISTÖD is located in a quiet and scenically beautiful environment. Here mainly children and young people with and without special care needs spend their vacations. We offer an all-round care with healthy full board and riding, as well as leisure program. The health and well-being of our guests are in the hands of professionals with therapeutic, therapeutic and equestrian training. Our many animals, 2 dogs, cats, sheep, poultry and especially the Icelandic horses and the 5 llamas, ensure relaxing vacations. Excursions, swimming in the Baltic Sea, campfires and bike tours - our offers are extensive and offer the children a lot of variety.
The absolute highlight is of course the daily encounter with our Icelandic horses. Whether on the ground or on horseback - fun is guaranteed. And quite incidentally, a lot of knowledge about horses and riding is imparted. Our vacation children are looked after in very small groups by professionally competent staff. A rhythmical daily structure and the daily occupation with our animals provide the children with security, warmth and safety. From time to time we let the "big city breeze" blow around our noses and go to Stralsund, the world heritage city, stroll through the old town, take a look at the harbor, visit the Ozeaneum or the maritime museum and the children - finally - also have the opportunity to spend their pocket money.
We attach great importance to healthy food and cook fresh every day, partly with farm-fresh products. Our vacation children live in pairs in friendly rooms. All year round we offer therapeutic and remedial riding, further education and remedial treatments on horseback. We are also happy to pick you up from Velgast train station upon arrival. Pick-up from the airport Rostock-Laage is possible by arrangement. We are looking forward to your visit.
On our farm there is a 20 x 40 m riding arena. On the bridle paths in the surroundings tours with a length of 1 - 3 hours over meadows and fields can be undertaken. There is no possibility to stop for a break. Riding lessons are given by a riding therapist on Icelandic horses with a stick size of 138 to 142 cm. The following services are offered:
- Lungeing lessons for beginners, late starters and/or re-starters (30 min) 25 €.
- Individual lessons for beginners, late beginners and/or returning riders on calm Icelandic horses (45 min) 25 €
- group lessons (up to 4 horses) 15 €
- curative riding lessons
- Animal assisted therapy with horses and llamas, therapeutic riding, animal assisted activities 35 € per hour
- Health treatments (yoga, back training, etc. on horseback) by alternative practitioner 60 € per hour
- other courses on request
- children's riding vacations (max. 6 children) with 5 riding lessons per week and supervisor, fun and games with and on the horse - 90 € per day or 540 € per week (Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning)
Training for the horse:
- Different courses like dual gait training, ttouch, lunge and double lunge training with different instructors.
