Probably the most popular recreational facility in the city is the Malchin outdoor pool during the summer months. Since May 2011, the facility has borne the name Peenebad in reference to the most famous river in the region. Every year from mid-May to mid-September, the Malchiner Peenebad offers two pools, one for swimmers and one for non-swimmers, providing bathing fun for young and old alike. And all this at very moderate entrance fees. A large wide slide, bubbles and a water climbing frame are part of the pool's equipment. But this is not enough. The area around the pools offers plenty of space and opportunities for sunbathing and sports activities. Foot- and volleyball, climbing, swinging - all this is possible in the Malchiner Peenebad. The swimming school also belongs to the offers of the bath. The staff offers swimming courses during the season, which are particularly popular with schools in the region. And there are also celebrations at the Malchin Peenebad. Swimming pool festival, Neptune festival, school duathlon - these are just a few events that are on the program here during the season.
