Two comfortable cottages with shared sauna cottage, © little garden Ferienhäuser
Holiday home, holidays in the countryside

Directly on the lake, with a bathing beach and jetty, two comfortable cottages with shared sauna cottage invite you to a relaxing vacation in nature. The large property offers enough space to feel good and is perfect for vacation with the dog. Boat and bike tours, fishing trips, hikes or just put your feet up, here you can experience a vacation just the way you want it!

We invite you to spend a relaxing vacation with us according to your wishes. Surrounded by the nature parks "Sternberg Lake District Nature Park", "Mecklenburg Switzerland" and "Nossentiner & Schwinzer Heath" with transition to the "Müritz National Park" our little garden vacation homes are a paradise for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

The newly built vacation homes are located directly near the shore of the Garder Lake in the district of Rostock. Both houses have been comfortably and modernly furnished with great attention to detail. On two floors you can feel comfortable and enjoy your vacation to the fullest.
It is worth visiting at any time of the year and. In spring, when the first flower buds sprout, a bike ride through the awakening forest is just as beautiful as the jump into the cool water of Lake Garder, in summer. In autumn a trip with the camera is worthwhile - between colorful leaves you might catch a glimpse of a crane and on colder days, in winter you can warm yourself at the fireplace or in the sauna.

Our vacation homes offer an ideal starting point for your excursions into the surrounding area. The cities of Rostock, Schwerin or Güstrow are quickly reached and invite you to stroll through the city, visit a café or tour a museum. Also a day at the Baltic Sea or at the Müritz should be in your vacation plan. Bicycle tours, boat trips, fishing days, hikes or swimming fun can be started directly from the front door. We also coordinate the rental of bicycles, canoes, rowing boats and pedal boats and have the best insider tips for you.

A special offer awaits vacationers with dogs. Since we are dog owners ourselves, we have also thought of the needs of the four-legged friends when furnishing and equipping our vacation homes. For example, the floors are non-slip, the property is fenced and the dog treat is ready to welcome.

Be our guests and enjoy a vacation according to your wishes in the "little garden vacation homes".

We are looking forward to welcoming you!

Güstrow Cathedral

  • Domplatz, 18273 Güstrow

Construction of the cathedral began in 1226 and was not completed until 1335 with the consecration of the altar. The transition from the Romanesque to the Gothic period can be clearly seen at Güstrow Cathedral. The cruciform ground plan and the elongated choir room point to the Romanesque concept. The massive west tower is 44 meters high.

Parish Church of St. Mary

  • Open today
  • Markt, 18273 Güstrow

The Güstrow parish church stands on the market square in the immediate vicinity of the town hall. The first documented mention of the parish church dates back to 1308. After the fire in the center of Güstrow in 1503, which also destroyed the church, it was rebuilt and consecrated in 1508. When you enter the parish church, the first thing you see is the completely restored Jan Borman altar from 1522. This work of art, the ornate pulpit, the impressive organ and a small Barlach angel are already reasons enough to take a look around. But there is one very special highlight that you should not miss: 196 steps lead up to the 41 meter high observation deck of the highest building in Güstrow. A magnificent view over the city and Heidberge, the lakes and the meadows leaves many tourists amazed.
