Museums

The State Fire Museum of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is the regional museum for the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. On an area of 2,000 m², the State Fire Brigade Museum displays 5,000 exhibits, including 55 vehicles, trailers and large-scale equipment.

The Regional Fire Brigade Museum is located in the Biosphere Reserve Schaalsee in the small town of Meetzen near Gadebusch, between Ratzeburg, Wismar, Schwerin and Lübeck. Experience the social history of the fire department and the technical development of the regional fire department during a tour through all eras. Children can experience the fire department up close and playfully during a guided tour.

The offer is completed by the restoration workshop, which can also be visited. The premises also house the recognized company fire department with its vehicles. For details and opening hours, please refer to our homepage, which is always up to date.

KUNSTRAUM TESTORF – Gallery for Contemporary Art and Paper Workshop

St. Laurentius Church Schönberg

The church of St. Lawrence was built in the 14th century, incorporating the remains of an older predecessor building. The wall paintings and stained-glass windows date from the 17th century. St. Pauls Church

The interior of the church has survived troubled times since the 1869 and has basically never changed. Floating meadow

In the 19th century, the people of Schwerin turned a former mill pond into a gem with a promenade surrounded by linden trees and a sun terrace in the middle of the city. On the Pfaffenteich the passenger ferry Petermännchen shuttles during the season.

KUNSTRAUM TESTORF – Gallery for Contemporary Art and Paper Workshop

St. Laurentius Church Schönberg

The church of St. Lawrence was built in the 14th century, incorporating the remains of an older predecessor building. The wall paintings and stained-glass windows date from the 17th century. Floating meadow
