Experience organic farming at first hand. The sheep Fritz, Isabell and the "cucumber troop" are already looking forward to your visit in the farm cheese dairy and sheep barn in Vietschow.

The sheep barn in Vietschow is home to a flock of dairy sheep, whose milk is processed into various types of cheese in the farm's own cheese dairy. In addition to yogurt and cream cheese, there are various soft cheeses, such as SchafBert or SchafEcke and semi-hard cheeses as well as "Das Schwarze Schaf" or "Das Bockige Schaf".

Since the dairy sheep are "seasonal workers", sheep milk cheese is only available from May to mid-November.

Next to the barn there is a bakery where delicious bread and rolls are baked with the farm's own whey. The baked goods as well as lamb, salami and crackers from the sheep can be bought in the farm store along with the farm's own jam, apple and apple-pear juices and nurturing sheep's milk products.

Guided tours take place regularly and anyone who has always wanted to know how cheese is made can learn in the farm cheese school. All information and dates can be found on the website www.schafscheune.de.

The Güstrow parish church stands on the market square in the immediate vicinity of the town hall. The first documented mention of the parish church dates back to 1308. After the fire in the center of Güstrow in 1503, which also destroyed the church, it was rebuilt and consecrated in 1508. When you enter the parish church, the first thing you see is the completely restored Jan Borman altar from 1522. This work of art, the ornate pulpit, the impressive organ and a small Barlach angel are already reasons enough to take a look around. But there is one very special highlight that you should not miss: 196 steps lead up to the 41 meter high observation deck of the highest building in Güstrow. A magnificent view over the city and Heidberge, the lakes and the meadows leaves many tourists amazed.
