The Bistro Delikater is located at the Festwiese in the Stralsund Zoo and offers everything from coffee and cake to hot lunch. Under the management of professional staff, the bistro also employs people with disabilities.
The Stralsund Zoo has been working together with Stralsunder Werkstätten GmbH for many years. After the maintenance cleaning by employees of the Stralsunder Werkstätten was successful in several areas of the zoo, both business partners decided to expand their cooperation by a new project in 2013. The bistro at the Festwiese in Stralsund Zoo was refurbished and converted and is now operated by Stralsunder Werkstätten. People with handicaps have the chance to work here in the areas of kitchen, service and cleaning. The bistro "Delikater" invites zoo visitors to enjoy a coffee and a piece of cake or pie on the beautiful sun terrace. It also offers a daily changing lunch menu and homemade dishes for young and old. In the winter days, the fireplace inside gives a cozy feel-good atmosphere. It can also be rented for family and corporate parties up to 45 people and offers a catering service for up to 150 people.
