The state-approved resort Mönkebude with its long shallow beach, an adventure playground and a well-developed cycling and hiking trail network offers everything that is part of an unforgettable holiday.
Mönkebude is located on the southwestern shore of the Szczecin Lagoon in the Protected Landscape Area Haffküste. The small lovely seaside resort with about 780 inhabitants offers plenty of opportunities for a relaxing and varied holiday for all ages. An approximately 500 m long beach with fine-grained sand and shallow clean water is particularly suitable for families with small children. There is also a nudist section. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
A beach hall provides a catering service with hot dishes. A kiosk with snacks and beach items is located in the nearby harbor office. Changing rooms, shower / WC, parking, beach chairs, bicycles and various beach games are available for a fee.
If you've had enough of sunbathing, swimming and lying around, a beach park offers plenty of recreational opportunities for all ages with an adventure playground, a bowling alley, ping-pong tables, volleyball court, scooter and Autorodeo. For about 25 campers there are even idyllic under trees parking areas. Even water sports are not neglected. For them there is the marina Mönkebude with its 80 moorings. It is modernly furnished and has electricity, water, showers and toilets. Furthermore, you can organize rowing, fishing, cycling, hiking, carriage rides and boat trips.
The attractive position between Szczecin Lagoon and Ueckermünde Heath also offers a variety of other options for tourists and locals. You will find ideal cycling and hiking opportunities and boat connections to Usedom, ?winouj?cie and Szczecin. In the village, the Fischerstube regularly offers exhibitions on the history and the present of the village. Here you will find above all evidence of the ancient tradition of the village as a home of fishermen and boatmen.
Anyone who spends his holidays in Mönkebude enjoys everything that should be part of a holiday: water, wind, silence, fresh air, heath, reeds, beach ...
