This cycle tour through the Müritz National Park lets you experience nature and culture. You start at the town harbor and cycle through the glacial forest and lake landscape northwest of the royal seat. In small, dreamy villages you will encounter many traces of the old Mecklenburg with farmhouses, churches, hedge paths and cobblestone streets. Nature lovers should pay a visit to the Prälank erratic boulder site and the "Flatterhus" Kratzeburg with its exhibition on bats. At Ankershagen you will reach the source of the Havel, where you can learn exciting facts about the origin of this river. After a rest and a refreshing dip in the Mühlensee lake, you should take the time to make a detour to Ankershagen, the hometown of the famous archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann. We recommend a visit to the Schliemann Museum and the village church with its extraordinary early medieval paintings.
