The MidsummerRemise 2025 – what's new?
73 manor houses and one castle opened on June 21 and 22 with an extensive program. For the first time, around two thirds of the participating manor houses offered a program on both days. Twelve new hosts took part in the MidsummerRemise for the first time. New were the bus tours on both days – not only from Rostock, but also from Greifswald, Schwerin, Wismar and Neubrandenburg.
New discoveries and special experiences in the manor houses in the Baltic Sea Manor
There were these new manor houses to discover in the Ostseegutsland region: Kaeselow Castle, Levetzow Manor House, Mummendorf Manor House, Hagebök Manor House, Pötenitz Castle and Kalkhorst Castle. But the well-known manor houses were also worth a visit. The Niendorf manor house and Schönhof manor house offered restoration progress as well as delicious cakes and tarts on both days.
Gamehl Castle offered carriage rides through the romantic park, there was a small market in Madsow, and guests could be enchanted by poems under the trees and a concert in the salon at Roggow Manor near Rerik. Tressow Castle offered guided tours and culinary delights on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday evening ended with a barbecue and campfire at the Gorow castle estate.
Gutshäuser on Rügen and Western Pomerania
New participants were Schloss Ralswiek and Gut Rosengarten on Rügen as well as Gut Nisdorf on the Baltic Sea Bodden. Culinary delights, guided tours and a varied program for young and old were on offer on both days at Landsdorf Manor, Rakow Manor, Schlemmin Castle and Hessenburg Manor.
Highlights and a varied program in the Peene and Tollensetal
Spantekow Castle was the only participating castle and new to the region. There was a lot to experience here on both days: Castle café, market in the castle courtyard, light art, music as well as the hunting horn workshop and hunting dog show on Sunday.
Goers enjoyed an arts and crafts market, a children's program with a wooden boat workshop, bratwurst, coffee and cake at the Katen am Schwanenteich. Neetzow Castle opened an exhibition on the history of the castle and the castle bistro was open on both days. Broock Castle, Hohen Brünzow Castle, Quilow moated castle and Schlatkow Estate offered a varied program on both days. Schmarsow Castle and Rossin Estate were open to visitors on Sunday.
Open doors at the estates in the RandowbruchAll the houses in the Randowbruch opened on Sunday. In the Battinsthal manor house you should definitely visit the church and enjoy a concert, and on Saturday evening there was a dinner event with advance booking. Bröllin Castle and Ramin Manor invited visitors to the café, and visitors could marvel at the progress of renovations at Streithof and Tornow Castle.
Culture, cinema and renovation: discoveries in Gutsland for the MidsummerRemise 2025
In the Gutsland region, the Eckelberg manor house kicked off with a prayer service in the pretty Dordirche church, while Trechow castle, Lüssow manor house and Groß Görnow manor house showed the progress of their renovation. There was an open-air cinema on Saturday evening in the Friedrichshof manor house and in the Hoppenrade sheep barn. Guests strolled through the park of Kaarz Castle under special trees, and Boitin Manor invited guests to lectures, music and grilled fish.
The Equinale, a horse film festival, took place at Neuhoff Castle. The Woserin manor house opened its doors on both days and, as an artists' house, presented an exhibition and the craft of basket weaving.
Manor house, concerts and enjoyment of art in Mecklenburg Parkland
New additions were Groß Lüsewitz Castle and Duckwitz Castle. A concert took place in Groß Lüsewitz at 4 pm. Viecheln Manor, Gremmelin Estate and Vietgest Castle were open on both days. There was a concert in Viecheln on Saturday evening. Schlitz Castle offered guided tours, an art exhibition as well as food and drink on Saturday. On Sunday, guests in Karnitz enjoyed seasonal cuisine, art and a game of boules.
Discoveries and popular classics in the manor houses of the Lake District
Of the 17 participating manor houses in the Lake District, Rattey Castle and Pinnow Manor were taking part for the first time. In Rattey, guests enjoyed guided tours through the vineyards, carriage rides and culinary delights on Saturday and Sunday. In Pinnow, the estate café and an exhibition were open to the public.
Highlights of the region were the Ludorf, Lexow, Zahren, Daschow and Zarchlin estates. Kavaliershaus Schloss Blücher was open on both days, as were Chemnitz and Gevezin. Kummerow Castle and Ivenack Castle were there on Saturday, as were Klocksin Manor House, Scharpzow, Below and Hof Sülten. Saturday evening ended with a concert at the Langwitz estate.
New: Bus tours from several cities to the MidsummerRemise 2025
Bus tours not only from Rostock, for the first time the minibuses from Rux Reisen also departed from other stations
On Saturday there were four bus tours from Rostock ZOB as well as one tour from Wismar and one from Schwerin. On Sunday, one bus departed from Rostock to Western Pomerania. There were two bus shuttles from Greifswald: via Neetzow to Rügen and to the Peene and Tollensetal valleys. A bus departed from Schwerin and Neubrandenburg to the lake district.
