Hostel for trail riders at the 1000 year old oaks

Very close to the National Natural Monument the Ivenack Oaks we offer you a hostel on our private farm. You can unetrbringen your horses on the paddock or in boxes. Private guest rooms with toilet/bath are available for you or you can bed down in the stable/hay at your horse's SEite. Roughage, concentrated feed and bedding is available.

Church Sommersdorf

The church was built in the 17th century, probably in place of an earlier building, from fieldstone mixed with brick and an eastern half-timbered gable on an almost square ground plan. The western gable was renewed around 1900. The church has three segmental arched windows in each of the long sides and two relatively small ones in the east wall.

Treetop path Ivenacker oaks

The accessible treetop trail is 620 meters long. The highlight is the 40-meter-high observation tower with elevator and visitor platforms. The facility is located in the Ivenack Zoo.

This two-day tour takes us through Mecklenburg Switzerland to three horse farms. Depending on the riding direction, we start at Hof Peeneland and end at Reiterhof Gielow or we start in Gielow and have Hof Peeneland as our destination. Klockow near Stavenhagen is a good place to spend the night halfway through the tour. Refreshments are available in Kummerow at Konditorei and Café am See or in Stavenhagen at the café.

Route:

Day 1: Hof Peeneland - follow signs to Sommersdorf- 2,2 km Meesiger - 5 km Sommersdorf - Gutshaus Sommersdorf - Strand Sommersdorf - Kirche Sommersdorf - follow signs to Kummerow - Schloss Kummerow - Kirche Kummerow - Konditorei und Café at the lake - Ohoi Strandbude - turn left direction Maxfelde - railroad crossing (to open the barriers call by means of a pillar ) -- Kölpin - cross Stavenhagen direction Ivenacker Tor/Waldstadion - Stavenhagen - Tip: Fritz Reuter Museum and 1000 year old oaks, as well as Ivenack Castle - after 28 km you will reach your accommodation in Klockow.

Day 2: From Klockow you take the same way back to Stavenhagen - Pribbenow - Rottmannshagen - Zettemin - follow the village road through Zettemin - go around Demziner Teich and take the road to Liepen - then follow the signs to Gielow - in Gielow you will reach your accommodation.
