Cello recital at Neuklostersee
"Young Elite": The platform for the stars of tomorrow! In individual concerts, young musicians compete for a place in the prize-winning family and the audience gets the chance to get to know artists at the start of their careers.
Ivan Skanavi, born in 1996, has been a student at the renowned Kronberg Academy since spring 2023, where he is completing his training with Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt, who already taught him at the Weimar University of Music. The young cellist, who has already made a name for himself with virtuosity and a very personal way of interpreting music, will be demonstrating his skills and musical range at the Kunstscheune Nakenstorf - with pieces ranging from Ludwig van Beethoven to Christian Jost.
Jost's music will also be performed at the festival in July, when the piece "Eismeer", a new composition to mark the 250th anniversary of Caspar David Friedrich, will be premiered.
