Unfortunately already over

"He who believes is blessed" is the motto when the Zarrentin Cultural Association invites you to a faith-heavy, but no less cheerful evening with Werner Momsen at Zarrentin Monastery.
In the "Meenzer Fassenacht", we would be asked: "Wolle mer'n eroilosse?". With us, the appropriate Nordic answer is "kumm rin!". Werner Momsen has already sabered his way into our hearts in October 2022. And now he's coming back and even dares to talk to us about faith.
There are so many things that people believe in: God, love, angels, UFOs, yetis and even the tooth fairy. Much of it is harmless, some is not. Why do people believe what, why not and what is better? Everyone talks about God, but everyone thinks of someone else. The evidence for and against him is very poor. Basically, it's no different to Santa Claus and the Brocken witch.
Can we afford not to believe in him? If he does exist, he is angry that you doubt him and sends you to purgatory on Judgement Day instead of cloud nine. Is there anything else after the last hour? Are there virgins waiting for you, the Holy Spirit or the resurrection? Even Hamburg's star pathologist Klaus Püschel has never found a soul during an autopsy. What remains when it's over?
There are many questions between life and death, between faith and truth or heaven and earth that can be discussed. And that's what Werner Momsen wants to do this time, about God and the world. And we can believe him that it will be very funny. Hallelujah!
With everything that's happening around us, it's not always easy to believe in something. But perhaps Werner Momsen will show us a way in which love, tolerance and humanity can bring us a little closer to reconciling ourselves with our complicated lives.
