The wild rose needs a balanced mixture of jazz, rock, pop, soul, classical and folk songs to thrive. Jazz rock and love ballads meet soul and art rock, classical music flirts with the music of 19th century African-Americans and the sound of the white musicians of the 20th century who were inspired by them. The size and habitus of the musical wild rose vary between generally familiar catchy tunes and hidden, luminous blossoms. The Dresdeners celebrate the melodious rose hips in guaranteed unique versions. Crew leader Matthias Thomser has dressed them in artful, dynamic garments and filled them with soft, hard or hairy note cores. The biodiversity of wild roses is not limited to polyphonic choral singing; they also bloom and flourish in other musical gardens. Wild roses grow in medieval moats or sprout from the sound funnels of a big band. They thrive in the sound garden of a philharmonic orchestra as well as in the flowerbed of a chamber orchestra, whereby the soloists and instrumentalists are the choir's own plants.
