Concert with Dilian Kushev - the golden voice from Bulgaria
Every review - mostly from the accompanying press - expresses enthusiasm for the work of baritone Kushev. Born in 1974, Kushev's career as a professional musician began at an early age. He was discovered during his studies at the National Music Academy in Sofia and soon received offers in Bulgaria, Italy, France, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany. Kushev was the artistic director of the Tsarevich Don Cossacks Choir for 14 years and founded the "Alexandrov Don Cossacks" ensemble in 2004. He goes on tour with this formation every year.
In 2014, he founded the corresponding vocal formation under the name "Arienensemble Tosca" in musical cooperation with the German concert agency Cologne. With more than 3,000 church concerts in Eastern and Western Europe, the baritone has sung his way into the hearts of listeners and audiences, with the artist's appealing personality playing a role that should not be underestimated.
In 2013, for example, he won a prize at the music competition at London's Rojal College of Music and a silver medal at the seventh World Festival of Russian Songs. In 2017, Kushev received the "Golden Olive Tree Medal" in Thessaloniki for his outstanding commitment to his work in music.
Dilian Kushev's trademark is his multi-faceted baritone. Deep as a bass and bright as a tenor. Each performance is honored with extensive texts of praise from the respective press and awarded the title: "The golden voice from Bulgaria". Churches and halls are permeated by the passionate singing of baritone Kushev in sacred songs, opera arias and folkloristic performances. Not forgetting the founding of the Sacralissimo ensemble.
