25 Years of Celtic Folk'n'Beat!
For over two decades and far more than 1000 concerts and various festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and England, the Celtic folk rock combo has been on the road here in the TRIO version on the annual OTTER-TOUR at the most beautiful places on the Baltic Coast and Mecklenburg lakes - always with their own song material from their 6th album and the extract from 25 years of band history.
Today, The ABERLOUR'S are one of the few Celtic rock bands from Germany that have reached an international level - and shine in the folk scene as well as at metal festivals such as Wacken or medieval events such as the Mediaval Selb. Rare acoustic instruments such as the cittern and mandocello meet thunderous grooves, melodious vocal lines complement furious fiddle and accordion parts to create a magical whole. The band's creative output blurs the boundaries of the genre - Irish folk sometimes turns into Bavarian folk, Scottish lyricism drifts into Central German verse.
Together with famous colleagues from overseas, the band has performed four times on the legendary Irish Heart Beat Tour of the renowned agency Magnetic Music across Germany - each time as an independent bridge between high-class Celtic folk and concert rock.
