Johann Sebastian Bach always delights ears and hearts. Louis Victor Jules Vierne (1870 - 1937), who grew up with a severe visual impairment, was a French organist and composer who became the titular organist of Notre-Dame Cathedral. Blind, he created highly virtuoso and highly popular church music.
The complete works of his pupil Maurice Duruflé were influenced by late Romanticism, Impressionism and Gregorian chant.
