From 1992, he was cantor in Bautzen, and from 1997 until his retirement in 2024, he was cantor at St. Mary's Cathedral and church music director in Zwickau. His concert activities also took him to other European countries and the USA. The Galenkamp couple played numerous concerts as soloists and together, both at home and abroad.
