Book presentation "My Century" with publisher Ekke Maaß
Bulat Okudschawa (1924-1997) was a Moscow poet, chansonnier and writer who was critical of the regime. He became popular at the end of the 1950s because he described the suffering of the Stalin era and the war between the lines of his poetic songs. Ekkehard Maaß, born in Naumburg in 1951, has been translating and singing these wonderful songs for 45 years. For his 100th birthday, he published the book Bulat Okudschawa "Mein Jahrhundert. Songs and Poems" in German and Russian.
