The pictures in this exhibition are created in Mix Media Art. Mix media has now become a new medium in the art world.

31.05.2026, at 15.00 Vernissage of the new exhibition "Mix Media or the love of detail III"

by and with the artist Christine Donath.

The pictures in this exhibition are designed in Mix Media Art, because this artistic approach leaves me room for creativity and the desire to experiment, across and crossover through many design techniques. From A for watercolor to Z for drawing. I have a wide range of tools at my disposal: paper, paint, stamps, stencils and punches.

"In the artistic process, I rely on my intuition and my experience in using the tools.

I rarely approach a work in a planned way, on the contrary, because here too the journey is the goal. Ideas and thoughts fit fragmentarily into new contexts. Initially conceived forms produce new, unexpected forms in the process, which then surprisingly turn out to be important pictorial elements and by which I am often surprised myself in the end.

Image and text are constantly in dialog, balancing and creating equilibrium. The real and the unreal merge into one another and contrasts create harmony in the end. I am delighted when the viewer wants to participate in new and unfamiliar ways of seeing.

Many of the exhibited pictures are inspired by literature: Poems, quotations, novels and stories. Reading creates sensory impressions and impressions that I like to express through pictures in a form that is detached from reality.

Picasso started it once, and since then this relatively young art has constantly evolved with new materials. Mix media has now become a new medium in the art world.

There are no limits for the creator or the viewer on this imaginative journey."
