Trechow Castle was built from granite ashlars in the early Renaissance style between 1590 and 1601. Around 1800, the complex was converted into an early classicist manor house with illusion paintings. Restoration and cultural use began in 2004. The castle has been listed as a nationally significant monument since 2009
