For the Night of the Nordic Manors and Mansions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, we will once again open our doors to culture lovers and guide them on exciting paths through the castle and park.
Kaarz Castle and Park is located in the middle of the enchanting nature of the Sternberger Seenland with its beautiful park and living history.
The lavishly renovated castle hotel now houses 20 individually designed rooms, apartments and a suite. Each of the rooms has a different name associated with the castle and has its own personality, which is reflected in the furnishing style. Schloss Kaarz presents itself as a cozy feel-good place to relax and enjoy. Regional products meet creative cuisine in the restaurant - from stylish dinners to barbecues on the terrace with a view of the countryside. The extensive castle park with its exotic trees and many retreats invites you to linger and discover. Somewhat hidden in the historic orchard, a cozy sauna in the shepherd's carriage attracts all lovers of warm and cozy moments of bliss.
But Schloss Kaarz is much more than just a hotel. It is a place full of stories - from aristocratic ownership to its use as a school and nursing home to its loving reconstruction after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Built in 1875 by Hamburg shipowner Julius Hüniken, the castle is considered a gem in the Gothic and old German style. Today it shines in new splendor without having lost its historical charm.
For years now, we have been looking forward to taking you on a fascinating tour of discovery through Kaarz Castle and its magnificent park at the summer solstice. Experience a wonderful summer's day with us, surrounded by the treasures and secrets of earlier centuries, embedded in the longest day of the year.
