presents chansons by "Reinhard Mey"
Ever since his homage to Udo Jürgens, which he has been presenting throughout Germany since 2013, it has been clear that Michael Zalejski is a master of emotions, which he knows how to arouse in his audience. In addition to his brilliant piano playing and individual singing, it is above all his authentic way of symbolically revealing the stories and feelings contained in the songs. Listeners can expect not only the well-known songs of Reinhard Mey, but also a journey through the most diverse themes and facets of life, in the spirit of a typical Mey concert, combined with the humorous and often situational moderation to create a very special concert evening. Just like the music of Udo Jürgens, the songs of Reinhard Mey have accompanied Zalejski throughout his life. Not least the fact that these two exceptional artists also have some songs in common made it obvious to bring a tribute to Reinhard Mey to the stage - only the guitar is missing, because Zalejski accompanies himself on the piano, but this is not a shortcoming but opens up new possibilities and sound experiences when listening to the songs of Reinhard Mey, so all the prerequisites for a unique concert evening are given. Zalejski studied piano and singing, has been performing improvisational comedy and concerts in German-speaking countries for over 25 years and teaches prospective music teachers at the Hanover University of Music in the subject of practical piano playing in schools.
