Marty Hall, guitarist / singer / songwriter plays Canadian Blues.
With his blues, roots and rock, with his inimitable sound developed over decades of international touring, virtuoso Canadian guitarist / singer / songwriter Marty Hall has developed music into his own high art form of minimalism - his trademark. With thousands of performances on Europe's greatest cultural stages, numerous live radio and TV appearances, the aesthete Marty Hall is one of those musicians who manages to captivate his audience from the very first bars. He quickly rose to prominence at the end of the 1990s with the release of 3 albums under the jazz label ENJA Records, Munich - Hansa / Sony BMG. After 7 years away from the stage due to a car accident, Marty Hall made a phenomenal comeback to the European cultural scene, which was crowned in 2017 with the release of his first solo album Platinum Blues, followed in 2021 by the 10th album Blue Terrain, a classic band recording with a world star line-up. In the words of the Süddeutsche Zeitung: "Hall, it seems, has stuffed an entire band into his guitar. All the voices of a complete arrangement can be heard. Chords, bass lines, rhythm, backbeats. These are joined by playful interjections and ornamental solos. To conjure all this out of one instrument requires not only a high degree of playing culture and instrumental class, but above all a great deal of sensitivity and discipline in order not to solo everything to death, but to give the voices their equal space. Hall's vocals merge with this instrumental sound. It is extremely puristic, yet full of intimate warmth and passion. This is truly great music".
