When a marriage or partnership comes to an end, many couples are faced with the question: who gets what? The shared house and assets in particular often cause discussions.
Marriage/partnership ends - what happens to assets and house?
Without a marriage contract, the equalization of gains applies in the event of a divorce. This means that any assets acquired during the marriage are divided fairly between the spouses - regardless of who earned or saved them. Assets that were already owned or inherited before the marriage remain with the respective partner. Important: amicable solutions save nerves, time and money during the division.
Mediation can also help to find a fair solution - without a war of the roses. An experienced lawyer from Rostock will explain everything that is legally important, how the assets are determined and taken into account on which key dates, what alternatives there are and which legal situation applies when the partnership ends, at a lecture by the Interessenverband Unterhalt und Familienrecht (ISUV) on Monday, May 19, from 6.30 pm, in Rostock, Friedrichstr. 23 (Kulturzentrum "Frieda 23"). The speaker will also give legal advice, tips and answer questions.
Registration and a small donation for participation would be appreciated: e-mail to Rostock@isuv.de or phone 0170 5484542 (Mr. Ernst)
