| A play with immigrants and locals - Premiere

A wide variety of people meet in the foyer. They are waiting to move into their rooms. While they wait, they daydream, think, remember, reflect on their current lives and get into conversation with each other. The manager of the hotel keeps interrupting the guests in his gruff manner, the cleaning lady can't keep up with the cleaning and then there is Lotti, a little girl. With her childlike curiosity and impartiality, she defies the often deeply emotional stories of the new arrivals.

It is the stories of the actors themselves that are told here - fragmentary and documentary-like. Only the frame story is fictitious. The project "Über Grenzen. Dialogue Lab" offered us the opportunity to gain an insight into the lives of refugees in a playful way. We always say that we understand them and empathize with them. But do we really do that when we don't really know them?

A production of the Kreisdiakonisches Werk Stralsund e.V. with the support of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Hanseatic City of Stralsund and the Ehrenamtsstiftung MV.

Admission free. Donations are requested.

Further performances on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 19:00 and on Sunday, May 19 at 18:00.
