Graal and Müritz in old photographs [1890-1930]
From the collection of Prof. Günter Karl Bose
The Baltic resort of Graal-Müritz, nestled between the dunes and the Baltic Sea, was a popular destination for holidaymakers and artists at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition "Graal and Müritz in old photographs [1890-1930]" presents a carefully curated selection of historical photographs from the important collection of Prof. Günter Karl Bose. These images provide an extraordinary insight into the life, culture and atmosphere of the region in the late imperial era and during the Weimar Republic.
Prof. Günter Karl Bose, born in 1951, studied German and political science. He was a publisher in Berlin, Professor of Typography and Head of the Institute of Book Art at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig from 1993 to 2018.
