Finissage "My 'click' into the world"

Klaus Kleinmann has been passionate about photography for many years. Especially when he acquired a digital camera, he discovered more and more of its artistic possibilities, was a member of various photography clubs and took part in a large number of exhibitions. In 2019, he organized an extensive solo exhibition at FRAKIMA e.V. in Bernau near Berlin. The thematic focus of our exhibition in the Stralsund MW store is portrait photography and the depiction of people in various life situations. He is also showing a series of experimental photos that depict objects from unusual angles and approach abstract forms of representation.

Klaus Kleinmann
Klaus Kleinmann was born in Darmstadt in the middle of the last century. Until his retirement in 2016, he worked as a teacher of German, art and history at a large additive comprehensive school in Hesse. He also worked intensively in teacher training and published various books and articles with pedagogical and didactic content.
One of his passions is foreign languages and traveling to distant countries. He has translated poems and prose texts - including a book on Soviet fashion - from Russian and always had his camera with him when traveling.
