Tales from the Rails with the Railers in the inner courtyard of the Schwerin Conservatory
On Friday, 18.07.2025, at 7 p.m., the Railers will get the inner courtyard of the conservatory at Puschkinstraße 6 swinging at the 5th concert in the KON-Takte 2025 series.
A relaxed end to the week. Music inspired by the southern states of America of the last century will make breathtaking landscapes rush by while traveling by train until everyday life slowly fades away. Band founder Matthias Baldwin (guitar), whose namesake happened to be one of America's most important steam locomotive manufacturers in the 19th century, founded the Railers in 2017. Friedrich Bassarak on accordion can be experienced as a singer, as can the other band members. He teaches at the Schwerin Conservatory. The Railers also include Christoph Klan (clarinet, banjo) and Johannes Hanekamp (double bass). In summer 2019, they recorded their first album "Tales from the Rails" and shot their first video series "Railroad Session".
Look forward to a cozy evening in the inner courtyard of the conservatory. Admission costs 12 euros, concessions 8 euros. Tickets can be reserved by emailing Ms. Semlow at dsemlow@schwerin.de.
