In this exhibition, 3 formats come together to enter into a dialog with their works:
"Revenge" is the title of Lucas Gervilla's video work and brings together a series of abandoned places. The videos were shot both in Brazil and in Germany - particularly in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - over the course of the last four years.
The title comes from Simmel's concept of "Revenge of Nature". The author emphasizes that as soon as a building decays, nature begins to take back what used to belong to it. According to him, this is where the "charm of nature" lies.
In a ruin, culture and nature find a new unity that always changes at its own pace. Both the images and the sounds are combined here to represent this unity.
Gordana Schmelzer: Color, line, movement - paintings, drawings. Everything that is felt, experienced and present seeks a way to be expressed.
With color, with the brush, with the pencil or other materials, each time a surprise. Sometimes representational without following things, sometimes abstract with a meaning meandering between these poles, pictures are created on paper or canvas in small or large format.
Wax as a material is a wonderful discovery! Soft, supple, vulnerable, depth through layering, leaving traces, exciting!
Andreas Lange: His photographs explore the expressive possibilities of the photographic technique of multiple exposure. The subjects can be from very different areas such as nature, architecture and sport, in which he combines time, space and movement to create new and unusual perspectives. His work focuses on black and white photography.
