Dementia in the spotlight - an extraordinary journey
The Network Dementia in Public Life in Rostock and the ecolea | International School Rostock cordially invite you to the event "Dementia in the spotlight - an extraordinary journey into reality".
In view of social structures and an increasingly older population, the prevalence of dementia is on the rise. It is a topic that affects more and more people indirectly or directly. Our event aims to recognize students' achievements on this topic and at the same time convey a positive message: We can only manage the extraordinary journey of dementia with respectful and empathetic interaction with one another - and this doesn't just affect the old, but the young too!
In the second half of the year, the seventh-grade students dealt intensively with the topic of dementia as part of their performing arts subject. They learned important aspects about the clinical picture, as well as how to deal and communicate appropriately with those affected. The result of this discussion are self-developed scenes that are presented on stage and appeal to the audience in an emotional and informative way.
This special event will take place on June 18, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the Theater Compagnie de Comédie/BÜHNE 602 (Warnowufer 55, 18057 Rostock). Before and after the stage program, which starts at 6:00 pm, there will be a supporting program with various information stands.
The students' performance will be framed by a varied program that provides information, encourages exchange and is fun.
