An interactive exhibition on the subject of COURAGE - yesterday and today. For people aged 8 and over
"No one ever told me that there were once two Germanys." This statement by an eight-year-old museum visitor shows that the younger generation knows little about German-German history.
The MACHmit! museum's exhibition project "Parole: Sparks fly!" aims to change this. To this end, the museum's children's council asked contemporary witnesses about their memories of this period of upheaval.
The result is an interactive presentation with videos, artworks and photographs that teach people aged eight and over about the time of division and the Peaceful Revolution. It shows that it took courage to stand up for an open country with free people.
And so the exhibition aims to ignite a shower of questions and discussions. Where is courage needed today? How can we become active together
