Open air in the park of Hasenwinkel Castle
The children's and family festival celebrates its birthday! On the opening weekend of the festival summer, Sunday traditionally belongs to the youngest children and their families and has done so for ten years now. The NORDMETALL Foundation is also celebrating an anniversary: for two decades it has been developing, initiating and supporting projects that strengthen our society and is a partner of the MV Festival, not least in organizing the Children's and Family Festival. More than a dozen stages are spread across the park and Hasenwinkel Castle this Sunday, from the main arena on the large meadow to the small stage on the upper floor of the manor house, and adventures for children and adults of all ages lurk everywhere. From the orchestral sound of the Schwerin Youth Symphony Orchestra to hands-on projects, beat boxing, artistry, hip-hop, choral singing and the "Fette Elke Tanzlokal" disco mobile, everything is included. Incidentally, the Disco Mobile project won the Nordkurier Music Initiative Award of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival in summer 2023 for its socio-cultural commitment in the state. The presenter will be children's TV jack-of-all-trades André Gatzke, who will bring his concentrated knowledge of mice and elephants.
