Uniquely assembled cello orchestra from the Schwerin Conservatory plays with project band

On Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 11 a.m., a thirty-strong cello orchestra will present rousing arrangements of well-known titles and original compositions by Gabriel Koeppen in the inner courtyard of the Schwerin Conservatory.

The composer and arranger of all the morning's pieces will conduct the unique ensemble of students and cello teachers from the municipal music school and will also present his compositions.

A project band under the direction of Jörg Uwe Andrees will provide support with the appropriate sounds. The musicians from various age groups are very much looking forward to performing old and new pieces, which they have been playing enthusiastically in lessons for years, for the second time under the direction of the "master" himself. The program includes Omas Grammophon, Plastic Fantastic, Tango, House Of The Rising Sun, Ein Tag in Venedig, One-Finger-Rock, Swing Low, Kahnfahrt and Fließbandboogie.

Look forward to an enjoyable morning in the inner courtyard of the Schwerin Conservatory!

Admission is free. Donations for projects of the Schwerin Conservatory are requested.
