Anke Ortlieb and Anna Sabine Reder show children's and other books, felted and spun, illustrations, paintings and posters at the Pfarrhofensemble. Saturday 15.30 Children's book reading.
The world of children's book illustration and handicrafts with sheep's wool is the topic at the vicarage with its historic half-timbered ensemble in Rehna. The children's book author and illustrator Anke Ortlieb presents her children's books (partly in Low German) and gives an insight into the creation of books as an illustrator. Her artistic style is characterized by close-to-nature depictions, preferably in watercolor. In addition to books, illustrations, posters and paintings are shown. Anna Sabine Reder processes sheep's wool into felt objects, cuddly toys, flowers and much more. Hand-spun wool from the hand spindle or the spinning wheel can be admired or purchased. On Saturday it is possible to visit the vicarage with parish garden, relax with coffee and cake from 14.00, listen to a children's book reading at 15.30 or visit the nearby monastery with the newly opened exhibition. A visit to the monastery is of course also possible on Sunday.
