KLASSIK DELUXE | JSB:48 - Master of Fugues

The Arcis Saxophone Quartet is a guarantee for precision and sound quality and is bursting with vitality. Award-winning and internationally renowned, Claus, Ricarda, Anna-Marie and Jure from Munich perform with their unique sound and know how to impress audiences and the specialist press. The quartet was recently awarded the 2023 Music Scholarship of the City of Munich.

Their program "JSB:48" is all about Bach's "Well-Tempered Clavier". With the help of organ legend Matthias Eisenberg, the baroque originals will be complemented by newly composed preludes and fugues by composers from all over the world and from all styles. "May the saxophone conquer the classical stages of this world" - Adolphe Sax's dream is also how the quartet sees itself.

Works by Bach, Kapustin, Shostakovich and Bernstein will be performed.

The artists:
Claus Hierluksch (soprano saxophone)
Ricarda Fuss (alto saxophone)
Anna-Marie Schäfer (tenor saxophone)
Jure Knez (baritone saxophone)

Matthias Eisenberg (organ)
