Performers and composer in conversation
One theme, one weekend, many events: The patent of a certain Adolphe Sax from 1846 provides an opportunity for an all-round view this summer. The SIGNUM saxophone quartet as prizewinner in residence and its guests present the saxophone as an instrument with many faces.
This 360° weekend kicks off with a morning talk concert. The musicians of the SIGNUM saxophone quartet and the French composer Fabien Lévy, who teaches in Leipzig, will discuss a work - the audience will hear it once before and once after the discussion. The artists have selected a composition by Lévy, which he dedicated to his teacher Gérard Grisey. Get involved in "Twice played - twice heard: the performers and the composer in conversation" about the work "Durch, in memoriam Gérard Grisey for saxophone quartet".
