What are we celebrating - and why?
On July 1, 2025, we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the railroad line between Rövershagen and the Baltic health spa Graal-Müritz. Since its opening in 1925, this connection has played a key role in the infrastructural, economic and tourist development of the region.
The railroad line enables direct and convenient travel - especially from the greater Berlin area - and has established itself as a reliable backbone of regional tourism. It is a key factor in the attractiveness of Graal-Müritz as a spa and vacation resort and makes a lasting contribution to strengthening the local economy.

Historical overview
The railroad line was opened on July 1, 1925 and represented a significant step forward for the accessibility of the two towns of Graal and Müritz, from which today's Baltic health spa Graal-Müritz developed. Travelers, especially from the capital, could now get to Graal and Müritz almost without changing trains. The previous need to change means of transport was eliminated, which boosted (health) tourism in the long term.
To this day, numerous guests use the train as a convenient means of transportation. Locals also benefit from the connection - for example, thanks to the congestion-free connection to Rostock. The line combines past and present: it stands for historical continuity as well as modern mobility and quality of life.

Start: 10:00 a.m. | End: approx. 4:00 p.m.
The anniversary will be celebrated with a journey through time on rails. Four historical journeys on the RB12 from Rövershagen will bring 100 years of railroad and regional history between Rövershagen and Graal-Müritz to life - first departure: 10:40 am.
The program is accompanied by a professional moderator, musical performances and a lovingly staged supporting program. A varied program with information stands, hands-on activities, musical entertainment and culinary delights awaits visitors at the Graal-Müritz destination station.
