Lake Nun - a legendary body of water at the gates of the city of Bergen.
An excursion of a special kind leads to the legendary Nonnensee, an oasis of tranquility. This is a 75 hectare shallow meltwater lake in the Nordrügensche Bodden and Nonnensee nature reserve. Here visitors can discover a rich bird life. Thus, if you look closely, you will find wild ducks, wild geese, white-tailed eagles, comorants and even the rare kingfisher. A total of 80 bird species are said to live here. A 4.7 km long circular path leads around the lake, where the beautiful area can be explored. The legendary body of water has been drained in the meantime, but today it is once again home to a wide variety of water birds from northern and eastern Europe. The rich flora and fauna attracts excursionists and nature lovers to the Bergen area again and again.
