The inn "Zur Insel" is a beautiful old inn in Kirchdorf, with many event offers.

In 1857 Peter Lemke bought the present building and served beer and schnapps there. His son Ernst Lemke took over the inn together with his wife in 1895. Otto and Minna Groth operated this pub in the 1930s. From May 1, 1990 it belonged to Jochen and Erna Mirow. April 2008 the inn was reopened by Hans-Jochen and Christel Mirow. By now the Krug is in 5th generation. Dishes that are offered are as they have always cooked on Poel.
Every Wednesday and Sunday from July to September there is the smoking evening with delicious freshly smoked fish and live music.

The spot at the Salzhaff offers shallow water deluxe! You can park in front of or on the campsite. Day tickets are available at the reception. The Salzhaff is very shallow and the standing area is therefore extremely large. Especially windsurfers have to walk further out at low tide so that the fin doesn't involuntarily become an anchor. Pepelow shows its best side with southwest to north.

Wohlenberger Wiek surf spot

The Wohlenberger Wiek is for the most part under nature protection. Nevertheless, you can really let off steam here with kites and sails. For this purpose, the municipality has set up a surfing zone from May 1 to September 15. The protected location makes the Wohlenberger Wiek a flawless shallow water playground with wind from west to northeast.
