Art castle Wrodow

  • Joseph-Beuys-Weg, 17091 Wrodow

From the original house comes the 9-axis central part, which was probably built in the 18th century. In the 19th century, the house underwent considerable reconstruction and expansion. On the one hand, the two-story hall was built in the typical Tudor style of the time, and on the other hand, the one-story south wing was also built in Tudor Gothic. Everything is crowned by the mighty, crenellated tower. In contrast to the white house, the upper part of the tower is made of red bricks.

Ivenack Castle

  • Am Schloss, 17153 Ivenack

The older, middle part of the castle dates back to the 16th century - the monastery building. A first extension took place in 1709 and after passing to the Imperial Counts v. Plessen around 1750. The semicircular stables, the orangery, the tea house and the church also date from this period. Around 1810, the castle was again extended by two wings. Since 2016, it has been renovated in accordance with the preservation order. The 1000-year-old Ivenack oaks in the former animal park are Germany's first national natural monument.

St. Johannis Neubrandenburg

  • 2. Ringstraße, 17033 Neubrandenburg

While the town church of St. Mary was built in the 13th century, a second ecclesiastical center was established at the same time: the Franciscan monastery. This included a simple monastery church made of fieldstones, which was expanded at the beginning of the 14th century - today's St. John's Church. After the destruction of St. Mary's Church in 1945, St. John's Church became the main church. It got its current state through two major construction phases in the 19th and 20th centuries.
